From the very beginning Playa Mujeres (Excellence Resort) was the best start to our marriage following the wedding. We were catered to atevery second and best of all we NEVER had to worry about paying for anything. Forget not worrying about just paying for stuff, we never had to worry about anything. Period. I can't say enough that I recommend this place to anyone looking to spend an amazing honeymoon, anniversary or just special occasion. The staff, service and most of all safety my spouse and I encountered while staying for a week was like living a dream. You really feel like a special celebrity. The restaurants were top of the line and never had much of a wait, despite what other reviews we read about. (we went mid-July). The pools and swim up barswere clean and never felt dirty. We ordered room service multiple times and it was just as good as the restaurant food!

IMPORTANT: Remember that you must have a ride from the Airport to the resort. We didn't know this at first, which caused quite a bit of confusion and stress the first hour we landed.
