For ten years I have had the good fortune of working for Classic Cruise and Vacations, sharing my excitement and expertise with clients as I help them craft their trips. From the Dominican Republic to all things Disney, my in depth destination training and ongoing travel serve me well as a consultant.

I get great satisfaction out of providing clients with insights into the places I’ve been. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite. I loved the Panama Canal and marveled over how it was built. Alaska thrilled me, especially flying over Mt. McKinley. I relished leading a group to Ireland and came away from that trip feeling like an Eire expert. I’ve toured lighthouses in Canada, cruised along the Danube, cycled down a dormant volcano in Hawaii and explored such diverse gems as Bermuda and Budapest. Every time I encounter a new place, I pay attention to all the little details that travelers need to know -- how far it is from one attraction to another, for instance, and how much it costs to ride the bus.

Of course, travel must be customized for each person, so my first job is to get acquainted with my clients. I ask them upfront about their budgets, interests and past experiences, encouraging them to talk about themselves as much as possible. From looking at brochures and photos to discussing room categories and side-trips, we cover all the bases until I’m absolutely sure they’re getting their trip of choice.

I feel confident putting together itineraries for all types of travelers, such as couples, honeymooners, families and groups, and I have been awarded expert status from several cruise lines. I particularly enjoy planning all-inclusive vacations, because they give visitors the chance to get to know a destination to the fullest. On the Riviera Maya, for example, guests of an all-inclusive resort can go shopping, take water tours, try fishing, spend time on the beach, savor local cuisine, play tennis, learn about the area’s history and much more, all safely and for one price. It’s a great value, and it usually results in the happiest of memories – something I strive to achieve for each and every client.
